SAME Space Coast Post 2025 Scholarship Application

The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Space Coast Post (SCP) is pleased to announce our 2025 scholarship program. The Post will award up to four $2,500 first-year scholarship grants for Brevard County High School Seniors entering a four-year accredited college pursuing a degree in infrastructure/facilities-based architecture, construction-related engineering or construction management at an accredited college of Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.

All applicants must meet the eligibility requirements, submit a completed application by April 25, 2025, and provide a letter of acceptance to an accredited college of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management prior to the anticipated awards program on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Scholarship candidates should submit their their application by US mail to the SAME Scholarship Committee at:

Any applicant who wishes to affirm that this application has been received should submit a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the committee at the address above along with his or her application. An acknowledgement of receipt will be dated and mailed back to the student. This will serve as a formal notification that the application was received.

  • All applications must be received no later than April 25, 2025, at 5:00 to be eligible.
  • The Selection Committee will review and award scholarships to the highest-ranking applicants on or about Monday, May 5, 2025. Notifications will be mailed immediately, with a telephone notice of Award.
  • The Scholarship Awards program is scheduled for Thursday, May 15, 2025, at a location to be announced (check back). The Space Coast Post requests all scholarship recipients and their parents to attend as guests to receive their scholarship awards.

SAME SCP is also offering offering up to four $1,000 continuation scholarships to previous SAME Scholarship recipients. To qualify for the continuation scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Continuing the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in infrastructure/facilities-based architecture, construction-related engineering or construction management at an accredited college of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Be active in a Student Chapter of SAME; or
    • A founding member of a SAME Student Chapter; or
    • Participating member of a student-led professional society at their College (e.g., student chapter of ASCE, IEEE, ASME, ASHRAE, etc.).
