SAME Undergraduate Innovation Design Challenge
The Society of Military Engineers is pleased to sponsor the SAME Undergraduate Innovation Design Challenge as a competition open to currently enrolled undergraduate college students. The Challenge represents a great opportunity for students to turn their ideas into real-world solutions, collaborate with peers, and showcase their creativity. The submission timeline for the competition is as follows:
- November 24, 2025: Innovation Design Challenge application opens
- February 24, 2026: Round 1 – Abstracts due by 11:59 p.m. ET
- February 27, 2026: Teams advancing to Round 2 notified (or earlier, depending on submissions)
- March 27, 2026: Round 2 video presentations due
- April 3, 2026: Results announced
